SAP Labs India is SAP's largest Research and Development centre outside Germany. It is a part of a connected lab network of 20 Labs in 17 countries.
Founded in November 1998, SAP Labs India drives SAP's product strategy, and is responsible for SAP core solutions and provides product localization and India specific solutions. Besides Bangalore, SAP Labs India has a presence in Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Partners are critical to SAP's success. Our Partner Innovation Lifecycle Services is a one-stop-shop for co-innovation with SAP and caters to projects worldwide. Partner Innovation Lifecycle Services' mission is to offer services to partners to accelerate market adoption of both SAP and partner portfolios.
SAP Labs India campus houses the SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL). Set up in 2009, COIL provides a platform for our ecosystem to develop innovative solutions on SAP Technologies and applications. It augments SAP's strategic intent to co-innovate with many partners and customers. Among the co-innovation projects from COIL include mobile applications, analytics, real-time data platform and cloud, in industry segments like logistics utility, banking, transportation, and telecom.
SAP Experience Center: SAP Labs India campus in Bangalore is the go-to place for digital inspiration and co-innovation. The centre provides customers and partners to learn more about the trends driving the shift to digitalization. The focus of SAP Experience Center is to inspire and help visitors understand the power of digital transformation and provide a new perspective on their digital potential and the tools, methods, and prototypes required for digital transformation.
SAP Innovation Center Network (ICN): Located in Labs India campus in Bangalore, is among the eight ICN global locations worldwide. ICN is SAP's think tank, where emerging technologies are identified and worked on to help business and society. ICN in India will specialize in IoT, 5G, Edge Computing and AI.
Engaging with Startups: The SAP Labs Whitefield campus hosts the SAP Startup Studio. This five-year-old startup program provides an end-to-end engagement platform for startups to accelerate their growth journey. Set up in 2016, this first in-house startup accelerator program of SAP offers ample support to the onboarded startups, through guidance, deep dive and technology mentoring on SAP technologies. It also enables the cohort to co-innovate with SAP. It provides dedicated market access through SAP's customer ecosystem in the India market unit. Since its inception, the program has nurtured over 33 startups, and the cohort of 2020 has 16 new startups onboard.
